About R & D Accounting in Toowoomba City

Despite our name being a relatively new one, the office at 136 Russell Street Toowoomba has operated for a number of years with most of our current team members. The catalyst for our name change to R & D Accounting was the introduction of David Giesemann who joined the team in May 2006. Before joining the firm, David has over 15 years Public Practice experience in Tax and Business services at the highest level. David was born in the Jandowae area and attended Year 12 at Downlands College in Toowoomba. His interests are family (4 daughters), rugby union, golf, cricket, tennis and reading.

David now has a shareholding in the Toowoomba practice. R & D Accounting has grown out of an office opened in Toowoomba in 1998 by Ray Anderson who moved here with his family (now all grown up) in 1992 from Rockhampton where he had many years experience as a partner in Public Practice. His interests are family and most sports, including horseracing in which he is involved through his position on the committee of the Toowoomba Turf Club. Ray and David formed a formal partnership on 1 April 2007.

The culture of our firm is very important to us, and it can only be achieved by employing the “right” people. While we believe that we provide outstanding technical services to our clients, it’s just as important to us that the experience for our clients is one they enjoy. If we had to summarise the service provided to our clients in 3 words, they would be; “Affability”, “Availability” and “Ability”. Having the ability to provide the answers our clients want is obviously important, but so is friendliness and being available to our clients when they need us.
