  • Review of "Ruben Taylor Plumbing & Gas" at Toowoomba City

    Ruben Taylor was recommended to me by a Real Estate agent in town who has used him for several years. However I, as the landlord, checked the work he did and did not leave it to the agent to check. Consequently Ruben had to return several times to the job to correct mistakes. He did not follow instructions, even written ones, and he has made decisions without approval which will cost me a lot of money to rectify. The most upsetting was the removal of heritage tap ware and replacing it with cheap Bunnings tap ware without seeking my preference. Because he didnt pick up the phone and ask me what I would like to do and finding out I had the parts for the fitting he just made up his own mind and replaced it. I was out of state at the time and unable to check what he had done until too late and he had discarded the fittings in the trash. He also instructed my bobcat operator to dig a trench without seeking my permission and consequently put the bobcat driver at risk by making him trench over an underground power line. I would not recommend him as a plumber who is suitable for a homeowner who requires engagement and adherence to instructions.

    Parcel arrived in Toowoomba a week ago and when I enquires when it would be delivered was informed they had tried to deliver but no one was home. The courier did not leave a a card advising of the failed delivery and where we could pick it up, in fact no contact made at all. They listed phone number is disconnected - Trying to make contact with the company has been very frustrating.
